Oh. My. Goodness. Barney Beagle is sure to melt every heart that sees him!
This uber-adorable, sweet puppy seems to just love being around adult dogs. He's also great with children, adult people and kitty cats, too! He appears to be a Beagle mix about 2 months old. He was purchased from a breeder by a family who wasn't prepared for the responsibility of owning a new puppy, and they asked the Washington County Humane Society in Tennessee if they would take him in. Bringing up a puppy is a huge responsibility and commitment, and we've promised Barney that there's definitely a family or individual that can give him all the time, patience, energy and love that he deserves. Being so young, he's just beginning to learn some of those important life skills he'll need: house training, crate training. and walking on a leash. Though a fenced yard is the ideal safe place for your puppy to run and play, if that's not an option then daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park or at doggie daycare will help with his exercise needs. And to exercise his mind, think puzzle toys and games. Barney thinks it would be great fun to attend obedience classes together, where he can continue his socialization with new dogs and people, build up his confidence, and get in some quality bonding time with his new person(s), all while learning lots of cool stuff together!

Barney Beagle is an affectionate, friendly little fellow who likes toys and laps. If you have these and can commit to bringing him up to be a well-mannered canine citizen, fill out an application today! And you thought his photo melted your heart, wait until he's in your arms!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
