Gabriel is one handsome dude and as sweet as can be!
He's calm, has a great personality, and is not overly jumpy. He appears to be a Pointer/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix about 6 months old. He's good with other dogs, playful and submissive. Kitty cats are an unknown, and he has been interested and friendly toward children he's met. He currently lives in a shelter so has not been house trained. Normally he's not a barker unless he's playing...or he's in a crate. He's working on learning not to pull while on a leash. He's affectionate but not the clingy type. Being eager to please and treat motivated will make obedience classes a breeze, where Gabriel and his forever person(s) can learn lots of cool stuff, continue his socialization with new dogs and people, and gain more confidence, all while spending quality bonding time together! He'd love a fenced yard to run and play in, but if it's not in the cards then daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash at a dog park will do just fine. For mental exercise, think puzzle toys and games. This gentle, sometimes goofy boy likes toys, attention, and going for walks. When all the activity's done with, he's just as happy to curl up with you and chill out.

Gabriel was rescued from a poverty situation along with his mom and week-old siblings. He's a beautiful boy looking for his forever home where he can run and play, and get lots of loving. If you can offer all this to him, fill out an application today! Gabe can't wait to hear from!

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
