Beautiful Katy Perry is always ready for action!
This very playful pup LOVES going places, hiking, running, playing fetch and going for walks! She absolutely loves to play with the other dogs in her play group - a rousing game of chase, some wrestling and then a bit of tug-of-war! Whew! But after all that activity, Katy likes nothing better than to settle down for some laptime and a bit of cuddling. We think she's a Shepherd mix about 7 months old. She was brought to our Mississippi rescue partner's shelter when she was just a baby by the neighbor of a an elderly man who had passed away. The neighbor didn't know where he had gotten the puppy and none of his family was willing to take her, so the neighbor brought her to the shelter. Katy's working on her crate training, walks on a leash, but has not had any potty training yet since she's living in a shelter environment. She's not only good with other dogs, but kitty cats, too! She hasn't had a chance to meet any children yet, but she's playful and friendly with all the adults she meets. She's eager to please, respects commands, and is treat/toy motivated, so she's going to ace obedience classes with her new human(s). It's a great opportunity to get to know each other better, and further Katy's socialization and confidence building, all while learning cool stuff and having fun! Though a fenced yard is the ideal safe place for her to run and play, if this isn't an option then plenty of daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash at a dog park will work just fine. And to exercise that canine mind, think puzzle toys and games.
