This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Say hello to Dahlia!
This sweet girl is about 3 months old and appears to be a Shepherd mix. This tan and white beauty has the cutest black markings on her face and a look that says, "Please take me home!" She also has double back dew claws, so she may have a little mountain dog in her ancestry as well.
Dahlia is very friendly and playful and does well with everyone she meets -- from kids, to adults, to other dogs, and even cats. Known as a "velcro dog," Dahlia bonds quickly. She might be a little jumpy when she first meets you, but it's just because she's so happy to see you and wants to get a closer look! Dahlia is very smart and trainable, so she can surely be broken of that habit quickly. Even though she's still a young puppy, she's already mastered the "sit" and "off" commands, walks well on a leash, does well in her crate, and is working on house training. As with any dog, we'd recommend some puppy training classes. These classes are a great opportunity for you to bond with your new pet, while building up her confidence and skills and giving her more time to socialize with furry friends. Since Dahlia can be a bit of a jumper and sometimes tries to escape, we'd recommend that she live in a home with a fenced-in yard. This will be a great way for her to run around and burn off some energy in a safe environment.
