Faith, Hope and Love, but the greatest of these is Love!
And love is why Faith and Hope Blossom are blossoming! These sisters were in bad shape with horrible demodex when they came into a small municipal shelter in Texas. Like many small shelters with no vet staff, if pets aren't in what's considered "adoptable" condition, they are euthanized. These two were only saved by the volunteers' pleading and our rescue partner took them into foster care where they got the TLC they needed. Their coats have fully regrown, they have no lingering issues, and they are GORGEOUS! We're thinking they're Catahoula mixes born around the beginning of February.

Faith is an affectionate, super sweet, playful girl who gets along well with other dogs and though she hasn't lived with children, was very playful with those she's met. Kitty cats are an unknown as of yet. She's working diligently on house training and is fine in a crate. She needs a bit more work on her leash walking - she tends to pull. She LOVES squeaky toys, chew toys, playing fetch, running, playing chase and tug-of-war with the other dogs, meeting new people and going places! Whew! She also LOVES settling down on a lap for some cuddle time when all that activity is done! A fenced yard is the ideal safe place for all this activity, but if that's not an option then plenty of daily leash walks with opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park will work just fine. And to exercise that canine mind, think puzzle toys and games. Faith is really excited about going to obedience classes with her new human(s) to learn lots of cool stuff, socialize with her peers and gain even more self-confidence - besides getting to spend quality bonding time with you!

Looking for a sweet, calm, everything companion? Faith Blossom wants the position! Fill out an application for her today, and you may have the privilege of watching her continue to blossom with all that love that'll be happening!

Medical Note: This dog was treated for demodectic mange while in the SOS program. The dog has responded well to this treatment. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months or until 18 months of age. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange: http://www.vcahospitals.com/main/pet-health-information/article/animal-health/mange-demodectic-in-dogs/741 . Please check with your vet if you should have any questions or concerns about this condition, and discuss any concerns you may have with your SOS Adoption Counselor.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
