Kermit is the cutest dude ever!
He's also pretty much the perfect canine companion! He's house trained, crate trained. loves going places, meeting new people, swimming, playing fetch, gets along great with everyone and everything else, let's you know when guests have arrived (but is otherwise a quiet guy), doesn't need crazy exercise (got a couch?) and is just a love-muffin. He's totally up for going with you to obedience classes - anything for a bit of fun! No fenced yard? No worries! Daily leash walks for exercise, business and pleasure will work, too. He does like toys and wouldn't mind adding a puzzle toy or two to his collection to keep his canine mind nice and sharp.
Kermit was found dodging cars on a busy street in Richmond, Texas, and fortunately our Texas rescue partner was able to corner and catch him before he got hit! He had no tags, no microchip, and no owners stepped up to claim him, so it's likely he was dumped. He appears to be a sweet blend of Basset Hound and Catahoula Leopard Dog, born sometime in June of 2018. His front legs are somewhat bowed which is not unusual for a Basset mix, and he shows absolutely no discomfort from them. With his lovely personality and distinguished good looks, he's going to make some new family a wonderful buddy! If Kermit sounds like the perfect addition to your family, fill out an application today and his people will get right back to you!
