Nico loves to cuddle!
This sweet and playful boy is going to be the perfect addition to someone's home!
Nico is sweet and submissive with all people and dogs he has met. He has been friendly with kids he meets, but has not lived with children in the home. He is still very much a puppy and gets excited and sometimes jumps when meeting new people or welcoming you home. He is friendly with other dogs and would likely love to have a playful canine buddy in his new home. He is currently living with four other dogs who are all seniors; he is learning to chill, but also having regular playdates with other, younger dogs. We don’t know how Nico is with cats just yet.
Nico is working really hard on house training but still has a few accidents. He is not yet fully crate trained or leash trained, but he is a smart boy and think he will pick up these skills quickly with a little time, patience, and treats!
A fenced yard would be ideal so Nico could run and play safely, but if that's not available he'll need lots of leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. An obedience course would be great for this pup; it will help teach him good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and his human. Additional training (purely positive) will also help continue to build his confidence in the world.
Nico is a gentle happy boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!
Nico’s story: Nico was adopted by a family as a young puppy a few months ago. The family was very good to him, but had two other dogs who strangely always got into scuffles around (but not involving) Nico. As much as they loved sweet Nico, they wanted to bring peace back to their pack and find Nico a great home without this drama.

Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
