Woody is a sweet and friendly boy!

He is also playful, gentle, and sometimes a little goofy. We are thinking handsome Woody is a Hound mix.

This dude loves other dogs and is only mildly interested in cats but we don’t yet know how he is with kids. He is still a pup and is working on house training, crate training and leash training and think he should pick up these skills quickly as seems to be a smart boy. He does sometime jump out of excitement but is easily re-directed. Like most Hounds he is a bit vocal and may bark or ‘talk’ to get your attention or to let you know strangers are around.

A fenced yard would be ideal so Woody could run and play safely, but if that's not available he'll need lots of leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. Just keep in mind he is a climber and can easily get over a four-foot fence. An obedience class would be great for him; it will help teach him good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and his human.

Woody is a playful and happy boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family!

Woody’s story: We don’t know much about this friendly boy other than he was found as a stray. He is now living with a loving foster family and doing great!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
