Sally is the mother to the Lonestar puppies, and currently lives outside at her foster home. She looks to be a mix of a cattle dog with her beautiful coloring. Check out those speckles all over her body, and her tri-colored ear and eye! Now that her puppies are well taken care of and ready to be adopted, she is too!
She lives with an older couple and can be hesitant and shy of meeting new people. A potential adopter should allow Sally some time to settle into their home, as this will be her first time living inside. This sweet girl would do best in a quiet home, to give her the ability to adapt and learn new skills.
She is very quiet, and rarely barks in her current home. She enjoys playing with her puppies and will chase them around outside. Sally needs some help learning some basic commands as well as house/crate training. She has been described as being an intelligent dog, and would do well with someone who can put the time in to teach her these skills.
Sally has not had any interaction with young children, or small animals. Should this apply to you, please speak with one of our adoption counselors for more information.
Since she is used to living outside, giving her an hour or two of stimulation is important for her, whether in a fenced in backyard or going for a nice walk. She will let you know when she is tired and may lay down in the middle of your walk, she just isn't well versed in this area yet.
This sweet playful girl just wants a home to call her own, how can you say no to her beautiful little face? Fill out an application now to make her a part of your loving family.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
