Nina wants to be your new best friend!
This beautiful girl is going to be the perfect addition to someone's home! She is happy to meet and play with other dogs and is friendly with everyone she meets. She used to live with a family that had a school age daughter and Nina was playful with her, but currently does not live with kids. We don’t know how she is with cats, and she shows a bit too much interest in chickens to be around them. Nina appears to be a one-year-old Border Collie mix with a beautiful white, brown, and black coat.
Nina is little unsure of being inside a home and seems much more comfortable outside. We think she would do best with someone who is not too hands-on, sensitive and patient. Anyone who is too pushy, including children, is likely going to be too much for her. She is friendly with other dogs and may benefit from another well-balanced resident dog that could show her the ropes of life both inside and outside the home.
Nina recently had 6 adorable puppies, there was 2 girls and 4 boys. She did a great job raising her pups, by giving them lots of love and attention and now that they all have found their fur-ever homes, it’s Nina's turn for happiness
Nina is house trained, and crate trained but needs some work on her leash skills as she is showing some mild leash reactivity. She rides well in the car, likes toys, and is pretty quiet but you might hear her bark in the house if she hears something, but settles quickly. A fenced yard would be ideal so Nina could run and play safely, but if that's not available she'll need lots of leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. An obedience course would be great for Nina; it will help teach her good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and her human.
Nina is a gentle happy girl who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make her dream come true? Fill out an application today and let her know that you'd love to have her join your family!
Nina’s story: We don’t know much about this playful girl other than she used to live with a family with children and she had a litter of healthy and happy pups. We do know you will fall in love with sweet Nina!

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
