This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.

Camilla is an older girl looking for a quiet, stable home where she can live out her days with kind people.

Her life was disrupted when the elderly gentleman she lived with developed dementia and could not care for her properly. Unable to keep track of feeding time, he would feed her several times daily. As a result, she became obese, but her foster family has her on diet food, and she has dropped a few pounds. She needs a person or family committed to helping her get to a healthy weight.

While Camilla is not big on exercise, she would benefit from a more structured activity program throughout the day. She is currently walking 1/2 a mile a day and doing well with that.

In her foster homes, she’s been tolerant of other pets but sometimes gets a little cranky if they try to engage with her.  She would do best living with another dog who is more of a coexister rather than a playmate. She is house trained if she gets to go outside regularly.

She’s tolerant of cohabitating adults, kids, and new people she meets. She likes checking out new places and rides calmly in the car. Her favorite activity is cuddling, and she doesn’t have much use for toys, so we recommend several short walks daily to help with her weight and mobility.

Camilla was a loyal companion until her world was turned upside down. She needs a loving home with people who will provide her with the structure she needs to live out her life in ease. Is that you?

An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
