This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
The Saucier puppies (James, Teddy, Alvin, Simon, Duke) were from an unplanned litter of two labradoodles that were rehomed together in Arkansas. They are now looking for loving forever homes of their very own! They are currently being fostered with other dogs and kids and have been very friendly and well socialized with all! They have not met any cats or other small animals yet. They appear to do well when going new places, and seem to be typical happy playful and affectionate puppies. They are also intelligent and eager to please! Given their young age they are only just starting house leash and crate training. If you’ve been on the hunt for a labradoodle - don’t wait to apply to adopt a Saucier puppy today! MEDICAL NOTE: James presented on 12/16/23 with carpal laxity; in both front legs, his carpus (wrist joint) is bowed forward during weight bearing, such that the carpus bulges from the front of the leg. Physical examination and detailed palpation of the affected limb(s) is normal. The underlying cause of carpal laxity in dogs has not been definitively determined, but most cases are self-resolving, with most puppies regaining normal conformation and gait within 4-8 weeks. As of 12/20/23, we are already seeing straigntening! In an exceedingly small amount of serious cases, the dog may need surgery to correct the contractures. To help James recover, we are encouraging exercise on surfaces that provide secure footing (carpeting, grass, dirt) and avoiding activity on slippery surfaces, providing massage and passive joint manipulation, using a high-quality large breed puppy diet, and providing a daily joint supplement. We hope and expect his condition to resolve within the next two months, and James is available for foster-to-adopt into a home that will continue this treatment plan.
