This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Oscar Schnauz is a very sweet adult purebred Miniature Schnauzer. He is 4.5 years old, and was recently surrendered by a breeder, along with six other small dogs who all have papers and are currently available for adoption. Oscar is gentle, resilient, and eager to please. His favorite pastime is cuddling.
He is currently living in a foster home with a woman, a man, young children, children over seven years old, cats, and both small and larger dogs. Oscar is fully integrated into the home and has been described as a perfect house guest. He has been playful and friendly around all of the members of his foster home, including the resident animals. Several new and regular people may come through the home on a weekly basis, and he always enjoys meeting them.
His leash and crate training are in progress, but he has been in his crate for as long as six hours and is always quiet and clean. Oscar will need a patient adopter who will continue to work with him on these skills. We recommend that all of our
dogs attend obedience training to learn commands, develop confidence, and socialize with other dogs.

*Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
