This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Wes, and his brother Hobbie Lobby, appear to be Labrador Retriever mixes. They lived in a home with adults and multiple animals including dogs, a cat, and chickens in the South. They are a bit focused on the cat so might not be the best fit to live with one.
Wes' housetraining is in progress, and he is good in the crate after a few barks. He is a true extrovert and wants to say to everyone. He is a great houseguest and loves to hang out with his people. He is also a great errand buddy and loves to go for rides in the car.
Wes is a terrific and energetic young dog who will be a great fit in a wide variety of living situations. He will be a wonderful hiking companion, and anyone who is lucky enough to adopt him will have a loving companion for life!
We recommend obedience training for all of our dogs, especially puppies. That way, you can both learn the commands together, and the dog gains confidence.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
