Hi, I’m Cabaret. I have a personal request: Close your eyes and pretend Liza Minnelli is belting out these familiar lyrics just for you: “What good is sitting alone in your room? Come hear the music play. Life is a cabaret old chum. Come to the cabaret.” Just like the establishment I’m named for, a cabaret is noted for its engaging floor shows that often employ audience participation as part of the fun. Adopt me and I will be your personal cabaret. I promise not only to entertain you but to love you with all my heart! Oh, by the way, check out my eyes. I have one blue eye and one brown eye. I think they add some zing to my stage presence. What do you think?
Please remember, I’m just a baby and I don’t have my act down pat yet. But I’m working on it every day. My foster mom is helping me understand where to potty and what things are mine to chew on. I still make mistakes but I’m ever so eager to learn all those house rules so my 2-legged friends will routinely give me standing ovations for my flawless performances. Do you have the time and patience to lovingly guide me through all this learning? I would be eternally grateful.
