This totally sweet, pretty young lady is Kiki!
Kiki appears to be a 2 year old, Labrador Retriever/Hound mix. Kiki and her babies were surrendered to a shelter - all but Kiki and two males (Gunner and Dancer) found loving fur-ever homes. Kiki can be a bit shy around new people and in new situations, and she seems quicker to trust women than she does men, so it is recommended that she not go to an all-male home. She may try to escape, so she will need to be watched carefully around open doors and to never be let off-leash in an unfenced area. Once Kiki gets to know and trust you, she becomes an affectionate, 50-pound lap dog. She is playful and can be goofy at times. Kiki would like to get her girlish figure back and would love to have a home with a fenced-in yard. It would be great for her to run around and explore - if not available, she will need to be walked and have other safe ways of off-leash exercise and play. She is good with other dogs, cats, adults and kids. She is leash trained, is mostly house trained and her crate training is going well - not super willing to go in, but once there she's nice and quiet. Obedience training will be great for Kiki, it will help her learn commands, good doggie manners and it will be a great way for her to bond with her new family. With time, love and patience Kiki will blossom into a happy and confident girl. Kiki is going to make a great companion for someone who is looking for a fun girl to share their life and home with.

**Additional info you should know -  For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label.   Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption.  There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
